SXSW Weekend Broadcast/Stream Schedule For TAS/WFUV

The Alternate Side and its sister station WFUV continue SXSW coverage tonight, March 18, and throughout the weekend with performances from The Joy Formidable, Bright Eyes, The Antlers, WILD FLAG, Smith Westerns, Yuck, Middle Brother and more.

We've got non-stop music, streaming on both The Alternate Side, with hosts Russ Borris and Alisa Ali, and broadcast on 90.7 WFUV, with host Rita Houston.  Both The Alternate Side and WFUV will be run a five-hour block of SXSW highlights on Friday, March 18

Starting on Saturday, March 19 and continuing through Sunday, March 20, TAS will stream performances from the likes of Brooklyn trio The Antlers, Welsh-English shoegazing rockers The Joy Formidable, supergroup WILD FLAG, Malian singer Khaira Arby, quirky chanteuse tUnE-yArDs and Montréal saxophonist Colin Stetson.

WFUV will also be partnering with NPR Music to broadcast live performances by Bright Eyes,  Middle Brother and The Felice Brothers,on Saturday evening, March 19.

Friday, March 18
On TAS and WFUV: 7P-mid EDT: FUV/NPR Music SXSW highlights (pre-taped) The Belle Brigade, Emmylou Harris, Josh Ritter, The Head and The Heart, Yuck, James Blake, Smith Westerns, Raphael Saadiq, The Joy Formidable and The Antlers.

Saturday, March 19
On TAS: NPR Music at the Parish - with The Antlers, The Joy Formidable, Wild Flag, Khaira Arby, tUnE-yArDs and Colin Stetson and from Stubb's, James Blake, streaming on The Alternate Side throughout the weekend (in association with NPR). Russ Borris and Alisa Ali will host with commentary.

On WFUV: Live at the Auditorium Shores, 6:20-10:30p EDT - with Bright Eyes, Middle Brother and The Felice Brothers (in association with NPR) broadcast/streaming on WFUV
