James Blake

TAS Interview (SXSW Artist): James Blake

UK singer and producer James Blake, whose self-titled first album trembles with soulful crooning, deep dubstep influences and mellow, electro-pop ruminations, made his SXSW debut on Wednesday night, March 16, alongside fellow Brits Yuck and The Vaccines at Stubb's. The Alternate Side's Russ Borris caught up with Blake before the gig and found out a little about what makes this emotive artist and producer tick.

Blake, who has sold out the bulk of his European and UK tour which kicks off March 23, will also be playing these remaining SXSW gigs:

March 17 - Pitchfork party, Central Presbyterian Church, 1 a.m.
March 18 - Other Music and Dig For Fire Museum showcase, French Legation Museum, 5 p.m.
March 19 - Fader Fort, Pine Street Station, 2 p.m.
