The Pains of Being Pure At Heart

The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart Hit The Road This March

Euphoric dream-pop purveyors The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, who release their sophomore album, Belong, in March, will kick off a U.S. tour that month with Twin Shadow and Catwalk on varying dates, concluding at New York's Webster Hall on May 6.

The quartet, who've been working with producers Flood (PJ Harvey, U2) and mixer Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine) on Belong, released the first song from the upcoming collection, "Heart In Your Heartbreak," backed with the grittier, non-album track "The One," late last year on Slumberland Records (as well as a snazzy 7-inch purple vinyl single via Insound). Back in June, POBPAH also released the single "Say No To Love."

In additional news, back in mid-December POBPAH drummer Kurt Feldman and his bandmates from The Depreciation Guild, who visited The Alternate Side for a 2009 session, decided to pull the plug on the group due to other "music-related projects." According to the band's Facebook page, there will be a final farewell show, supposedly this month. In addition to POBPAH, Feldman is a member of the band The Ice Choir
