Extensive Newport Folk Festival Coverage On The Alternate Side's Sister Station, WFUV

The Alternate Side's sister station WFUV, in partnership with NPR, will be broadcasting live this weekend from George Wein's Newport Folk Festival on Saturday (July 31) and Sunday (August 1) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with mainstage performances from Andrew Bird, My Morning Jacket's Jim James, Blitzen Trapper, The Avett Brothers, The Low Anthem, Calexico, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, The Swell Season and many more.

Rita Houston and Claudia Marshall will host the two-day extravaganza which also includes live sets from Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Justin Townes Earle, The Felice Brothers, Ben Sollee and Daniel Martin Moore, John Prine and others.
