No Age Return With A New Album This September

Los Angeles noise rockers No Age, the clattering, creative duo of Dean Spunt and Randy Randall, are set to release their third record, Everything In Between, on September 28 on Sub Pop.

The album follows the band's acclaimed 2008 release, Nouns, which was a watershed record for No Age. The record, which topped plenty of critics' polls that year, also drew more attention to LA's vibrant, punked-out, raucous art rock scene, which includes bands like HEALTH, Silver Daggers and Abe Vigoda, and claims its spiritual center at the music club/gallery The Smell, an all-ages venue with five-buck tickets.

Promising "disoriented rhythms" and "fuzzed-out scuffs," according to their label, Everything in Between is a generous 13 tracks (edited from 25), with titles like "Shred and Transcend" which might well describe the entire album. The project took Spunt and Randall six months to record, off and on, between November and May. No Age have been playing their new material during assorted gigs and will hopefully delve more deeply into their new material during their tour dates this summer and in September, opening for Pavement for a handful of US dates.
