After a bit of a hiatus, NYC based stellastarr* are back with their third album, Civilized. They've released the new record on their dime and on their own label, Bloated Wife Records.

Bass player Amanda Tannen even did the artwork for the album and plastered posters all over Brooklyn. Perhaps you were the one who drew the mustache on that poster on Bedford? It's okay if you did. That was actually the intention.

stellastar* is a funny group of people. They're very laid back and easy to talk to, but their music is very intense. Civilized is high energy and very urgent-sounding.
